Giving back to the community is a large part of Redback Technologies’ ethos. For the last twelve months, Redback has proudly partnered with the Endeavour Foundation, a national organisation that supports people with an intellectual disability to live their best life – starting with equal access to education and life-skills learning.

Each year, the Endeavour Foundation organises seven prize home lotteries, with all funds raised through these fundraising events going directly towards Endeavour Foundation’s life-changing programs. Redback Technologies have proudly supported previous lottery homes by installing Redback Smart Hybrid systems and will continue our support by contributing additional battery storage solutions to future lottery homes.

In addition to providing systems, Redback has also partnered with the Endeavour Foundation to recycle electronic waste from our office and installations, including monitors, computers, solar inverters and other circuit boards.

Recently, members of the Redback Technologies team visited Endeavour’s e-waste recycling centre in Kippa-Ring, QLD, to help the Endeavour staff and volunteers with dismantling e-waste before it is recycled. The centre, which is one of three nationally, dismantles more than 150 tonnes of e-waste per month. It was an eye-opening experience for the Redback team to not only see how passionate and knowledgeable the staff and volunteers were at the recycling centre, but how rewarding they found the opportunity to have full time work.

Redback Technologies National Partnership Manager Grant Lochran commented:

“Not only are we looking at putting a solar and battery storage solution in all of Endeavour Foundations facilities and homes but we’re also looking at upcycling our e-waste recycling efforts.”
