Patrick has worked across Europe, Australia and throughout Asia. This diverse background and Patrick’s language skills enable effective communication with our business partners, internal stakeholders and his direct reports.
Paul Liddell
Paul LiddellChief Technology Officer
Our Chief Technology Officer spent 9 years at Microsoft as a software engineer before joining us at Redback. His degrees in Electrical Engineering (Power Transmission & Renewable Energy) and Computer Science enable him to blend machinery with computer smarts beautifully. His extensive experience with Internet of Things (IOT) related devices and power control systems rounds out the team.

Daryll has over 20 years experience in finance roles in Australia and Europe. He has held senior finance positions in leading companies such as American Express and Flight Centre. He is passionate about the renewable energy sector and has helped various organisations improve profit through driving sustainable growth and business performance.
Rebecca Wang

Rebecca Wang is a senior manager with 8 years of direct Photovoltaic industry experience. Rebecca’s skills include: multi-lingual communications, contract negotiation in accordance with HK, Shanghai and Australian law, and quality system management. Rebecca’s executive appointments include GM of Chinese Operations for Sungrid Limited and CO2 Global Exports Limited.
Adrian Knack
Adrian KnackDirector of Engineering
Adrian had 15 years of industry experience in the development of innovative and high reliability engineering solution for the Defence, Mining and Telecommunications sectors before joining Redback. With PhDs in Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communications Engineering as well as undergraduate degrees in Computer Systems Engineering and Computer Science he is uniquely placed to develop the intelligent hardware platforms for Redback.

Lisa is responsible for leading the marketing and communications team at Redback. She has over 20 years’ experience in technology, software and telco marketing within Australia & Europe. With a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications Lisa specialises in creating unique campaigns and programs that are designed to assist the Redback partner community and drive consumer knowledge about battery storage and its benefits.
Daniel Refahi
Daniel RefahiDirector Of Special Projects
Daniel has 15 years’ experience designing and delivering reliable software solutions for the industry. As the Director of Special Projects at Redback Technologies, he is tasked with oversight of development of the Redback network sensing hardware firmware’s and associated cloud-based analytics platform. Daniel has had significant involvement with scaleable, cloud-based solutions utilising IoT (Internet of things) data collection and prides himself in developing high performance solutions.

Paul has over 25 years of experience in the software industry, has degrees in Information Systems and Accounting and has worked in several countries for leading-edge ventures and a Microsoft-owned consulting business. Brendon Crown

Brendon has 20 years experience in energy policy and reform, with senior roles spanning government departments, policymakers, industry groups and some of the largest network businesses in Australia. Brendon works closely with industry groups, policy and regulatory bodies to ensure Australian homes and businesses are afforded the greatest opportunity to invest in solar PV and storage.
