Dr. Adrian Knack Appointed as CEO of Redback Technologies

Redback Technologies, an Australian leader in technology and renewable energy solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Adrian Knack as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

With multiple PhDs in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, Dr. Knack is uniquely positioned to lead the Redback and Luceo teams in advancing their mission of delivering cutting-edge renewable and technological solutions.

Dr. Knack joined the Redback Technologies team in 2016 as the Director of Hardware, progressing to Director of Engineering in 2019, and then to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in 2022. For the last 7 years, Dr. Knack has been instrumental in contributing his technical expertise as a part of the Redback team, with future innovations, to be unveiled in 2024.

During his tenure at Redback Technologies, Dr. Knack has played a pivotal role in leading the design and development of residential inverter and battery products. These products are currently being installed across Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Knack has also been instrumental in designing and developing the Luceo platform, catering to modern energy networks and businesses implementing strategies in energy efficiency.
